God Didnt Promise Easy!
What happens when we ask God for something—and His answer doesn't look anything like what we expected?
In Episode 138, John and Terri talk about the reality that following Jesus doesn't mean life will be easy. Sometimes God answers our prayers differently than we imagined. Sometimes the storms remain, and we're given the strength to stand in them instead.
The conversation explores the importance of surrounding ourselves with people who genuinely want to see us grow, recognizing when relationships may no longer be healthy for us, and understanding that even difficult experiences can shape who we become.
We also talk about imperfection—our own and everyone else's. God doesn't require us to have perfect stories before He can use us. Every person has a story, every person has a calling, and we're meant to help one another along the way.
And because relationships aren't always easy, we talk about disagreement too. We can have firm beliefs and still be willing to listen. We don't have to agree with one another to love one another.
This is another honest conversation about faith, struggle, growth, relationships, and learning to trust God when the road isn't easy.
God didn't promise easy. But He never asked us to walk it alone.
00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:03.399
Am I not? Look, I have given you authority over
00:00:03.399 --> 00:00:05.660
all the power of the enemy and you can walk among
00:00:05.660 --> 00:00:07.980
snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing
00:00:07.980 --> 00:00:10.880
will injure you. But don't rejoice because evil
00:00:10.880 --> 00:00:13.660
spirits obey you. Rejoice because your names
00:00:13.660 --> 00:00:51.159
are registered in heaven. Hello everyone, welcome
00:00:51.159 --> 00:00:54.619
to bumper sticker wisdom. I am John I'm Terry.
00:00:54.719 --> 00:00:56.880
It's so nice to have everybody with us today.
00:00:56.880 --> 00:01:00.560
Thank you for joining us It may be a little bit
00:01:00.560 --> 00:01:05.959
weird today. We're recording off schedule Really
00:01:05.959 --> 00:01:07.700
just kind of more concerned mostly concerned
00:01:07.700 --> 00:01:10.959
about surgery that you're about to undergo and
00:01:10.959 --> 00:01:13.200
and all that kind of stuff and if there's anything
00:01:13.200 --> 00:01:15.700
I can talk about about that and it's interesting
00:01:15.700 --> 00:01:19.459
that the sermon series recently about rest And
00:01:19.459 --> 00:01:23.120
again, it is kind of about physical rest, but
00:01:23.120 --> 00:01:28.079
it's more about being rested in knowing, rest
00:01:28.079 --> 00:01:31.980
assured in confidence of our Lord that he's got
00:01:31.980 --> 00:01:35.459
our backs, right? If there's anything that I
00:01:35.459 --> 00:01:38.640
have been concerned about, it's not about the
00:01:38.640 --> 00:01:46.319
surgery, it's about the... impatience for things
00:01:46.319 --> 00:01:49.019
because I'm gonna have to take on all the responsibility
00:01:49.019 --> 00:01:52.219
of our household and all of the things that we
00:01:52.219 --> 00:01:56.260
do outside of the household and your impatience
00:01:56.260 --> 00:02:01.340
with not wanting to not be in that position for
00:02:01.340 --> 00:02:03.780
not wanting to sit still like you're gonna have
00:02:03.780 --> 00:02:07.340
to and it's really my concern that it's gonna
00:02:07.340 --> 00:02:09.680
turn into fights and arguments but I'm really
00:02:09.680 --> 00:02:12.060
trying not to speak that. I'm trying to say that.
00:02:13.159 --> 00:02:17.740
And I'm trying not to think that because some
00:02:17.740 --> 00:02:19.759
of that is like when you start thinking and saying
00:02:19.759 --> 00:02:22.280
it, it's self -fulfilling itself. It's gonna
00:02:22.280 --> 00:02:23.900
happen because you're saying it's gonna happen.
00:02:25.620 --> 00:02:28.120
Or it's, remember when we were talking about
00:02:28.120 --> 00:02:30.919
the automatic negative thoughts thing about fortune
00:02:30.919 --> 00:02:34.860
telling? I'm trying to read a predict or predict
00:02:34.860 --> 00:02:38.900
an outcome that hasn't happened. And so I'm saying
00:02:38.900 --> 00:02:40.919
that I already know this is gonna happen and
00:02:40.919 --> 00:02:43.719
it may or may not. Could something like that
00:02:43.719 --> 00:02:46.560
happen? For sure, because we're going to be on
00:02:46.560 --> 00:02:48.979
it's in an uncomfortable situation. You're not
00:02:48.979 --> 00:02:50.759
in a position to do things that you normally
00:02:50.759 --> 00:02:52.919
do, and you're going to get agitated at times.
00:02:53.860 --> 00:02:58.280
You know, I've been praying that God help me
00:02:58.280 --> 00:03:00.300
to have the fruits of the spirit. You know what
00:03:00.300 --> 00:03:01.960
I mean? And that's what we need to do is pray
00:03:01.960 --> 00:03:04.860
right now. Yeah, pray about it. We will pray
00:03:04.860 --> 00:03:09.919
about it. But I really fully commit and understand
00:03:09.919 --> 00:03:12.759
and know that the physical part of it is gonna
00:03:12.759 --> 00:03:17.639
go great I think your recovery is gonna go Supernaturally
00:03:17.639 --> 00:03:20.020
good right it's gonna be better than even they
00:03:20.020 --> 00:03:23.599
expect And you may even return sooner than you
00:03:23.599 --> 00:03:26.520
think as long as you follow the boundaries So
00:03:26.520 --> 00:03:28.960
yeah with that being said it's probably a good
00:03:28.960 --> 00:03:31.599
time to to commit everything to prayer and then
00:03:31.599 --> 00:03:35.139
we'll get started So Heavenly Father, we want
00:03:35.139 --> 00:03:37.159
to thank you for giving us this opportunity and
00:03:37.159 --> 00:03:40.500
this time. Father, I just want to lift up Terry
00:03:40.500 --> 00:03:44.900
to you and myself and just help us to lean into
00:03:44.900 --> 00:03:47.479
you throughout what could be a struggle. We're
00:03:47.479 --> 00:03:48.900
not going to say it's a struggle. We just know
00:03:48.900 --> 00:03:51.360
that it's possible. We also know that it's possible
00:03:51.360 --> 00:03:53.960
for supernatural things to come through. I think
00:03:53.960 --> 00:03:56.379
the supernatural healing will be in the recovery.
00:03:56.740 --> 00:04:03.009
I think that you have put hands on on Terry's
00:04:03.009 --> 00:04:07.009
body that are going to intervene in a way that
00:04:07.009 --> 00:04:10.449
is going to help her to heal and feel a way that
00:04:10.449 --> 00:04:13.110
she hasn't felt in a long time. Father we just
00:04:13.110 --> 00:04:14.849
want to lift up anybody who's listening right
00:04:14.849 --> 00:04:17.670
now if they have a physical issue that by your
00:04:17.670 --> 00:04:19.689
stripes We were healed we can take hold in that
00:04:19.689 --> 00:04:22.110
we can rest in that we can know that you have
00:04:22.110 --> 00:04:24.269
already taken care of it Just because we don't
00:04:24.269 --> 00:04:26.649
see it right now doesn't mean it's not true.
00:04:26.769 --> 00:04:28.910
So father God We thank you for your goodness.
00:04:28.930 --> 00:04:31.129
We thank you for your mercy your grace and your
00:04:31.129 --> 00:04:32.829
great patience for us Father God And it's in
00:04:32.829 --> 00:04:38.370
Jesus name. We pray amen That was a babbling
00:04:38.370 --> 00:04:44.459
babble it was not so Yeah, I think that the idea
00:04:44.459 --> 00:04:50.199
of I Think the only concern I have with that
00:04:50.199 --> 00:04:52.240
message the message that they've been preaching
00:04:52.240 --> 00:04:56.319
is that people can take that in The wrong way.
00:04:56.319 --> 00:04:59.699
It's not about it is about rest because God rested.
00:04:59.879 --> 00:05:05.879
Yes, but it's about being Assured being confident.
00:05:05.980 --> 00:05:08.519
No wing. It's like it's like resting and then
00:05:08.519 --> 00:05:11.060
resting into your Bible That's what what I'm
00:05:11.060 --> 00:05:14.399
getting out of it. Like, you know taking it and
00:05:14.399 --> 00:05:16.439
Getting into your Bible. I'm resting into that
00:05:16.439 --> 00:05:18.959
use what I'm getting the more I keep listening
00:05:18.959 --> 00:05:21.720
to it, right? That's what I'm getting into, you
00:05:21.720 --> 00:05:23.360
know I'm saying like so you're saying like it's
00:05:23.360 --> 00:05:27.319
more of a it's a call to lean in or like engage
00:05:27.319 --> 00:05:29.920
further Yeah, and then getting it in resting
00:05:29.920 --> 00:05:32.199
into it. You know, I'm saying that's what I see
00:05:33.949 --> 00:05:37.610
I don't know, that's what I'm seeing. I'm not
00:05:37.610 --> 00:05:40.149
seeing, hearing. That's what I'm hearing, you
00:05:40.149 --> 00:05:43.629
know, my opinion. I have to get better with my
00:05:43.629 --> 00:05:47.949
hands. I was watching on, when I was editing
00:05:47.949 --> 00:05:51.860
this week, there's new camera angles. So I didn't
00:05:51.860 --> 00:05:54.120
realize at some point I was talking to you and
00:05:54.120 --> 00:05:56.779
I have my entire face covered by my hand Because
00:05:56.779 --> 00:05:58.500
I'm used to the camera being here instead of
00:05:58.500 --> 00:06:08.199
over off the offset I have to try to get my hands
00:06:08.199 --> 00:06:10.639
under control. I think the hands help, you know,
00:06:10.759 --> 00:06:14.160
it helps with yeah, you know, I'm an active hand
00:06:14.160 --> 00:06:18.379
talker obviously But anyway, yeah, I think that
00:06:18.379 --> 00:06:20.399
I think that you're on something there a little
00:06:20.399 --> 00:06:24.060
bit it's it's I'm not getting the resting to
00:06:24.060 --> 00:06:28.079
I get that point to for the most part like I
00:06:28.079 --> 00:06:30.620
had lots of people like the first service I didn't
00:06:30.620 --> 00:06:32.240
I prayed over two people which I prayed over
00:06:32.240 --> 00:06:35.699
lonely Lee You know, and then I prayed over my
00:06:35.699 --> 00:06:38.759
little people that are going to um, I'm Dallas
00:06:38.759 --> 00:06:40.800
this weekend. I wanted to pray over a protected
00:06:40.800 --> 00:06:44.490
spell over them too. I'm get there safely spell
00:06:44.490 --> 00:06:47.449
didn't mean it like that a prayer of protection
00:06:47.449 --> 00:06:50.089
yes over them to get there and be safe a lot
00:06:50.089 --> 00:06:55.490
of magic show i do to get them there and safely
00:06:55.490 --> 00:06:58.750
and those type things um and then the second
00:06:58.750 --> 00:07:02.750
service um i was standing there in my hand went
00:07:02.750 --> 00:07:06.569
just and i went trying to make it like like nothing
00:07:06.569 --> 00:07:13.050
else i said no Like I'm like, you know, and of
00:07:13.050 --> 00:07:16.110
course Lacey next to me it was her mom that said
00:07:16.110 --> 00:07:18.649
that she and she prayed over me and then I had
00:07:18.649 --> 00:07:21.930
Stephanie that was there her one of her friends
00:07:21.930 --> 00:07:24.889
is having knee surgery So I prayed over that
00:07:24.889 --> 00:07:27.550
and then she prayed over me for you know stuff
00:07:27.550 --> 00:07:30.350
And then I had some other things I prayed over
00:07:30.350 --> 00:07:33.269
it was good. My second service was bringing over
00:07:33.269 --> 00:07:37.199
people. It was good. It was awesome I was excited
00:07:37.199 --> 00:07:39.279
that dad was able to come back to church today.
00:07:39.279 --> 00:07:43.180
It was so nice to see him there. People missed
00:07:43.180 --> 00:07:45.560
him. Yeah, lots of people missed him. I've talked
00:07:45.560 --> 00:07:47.139
a bunch of times about this. I think that's the
00:07:47.139 --> 00:07:50.389
one thing about Our church for some people it's
00:07:50.389 --> 00:07:52.389
uncomfortable at first but something that we
00:07:52.389 --> 00:07:54.750
all crave is to be seen and known right like
00:07:54.750 --> 00:07:58.250
it's For people to recognize when we're there
00:07:58.250 --> 00:08:01.069
and to be like, oh, hey, you're here You know
00:08:01.069 --> 00:08:02.910
what? I mean, like I think that we all crave
00:08:02.910 --> 00:08:07.149
that in a way. I think it's as a Being someone
00:08:07.149 --> 00:08:10.689
who's in kids ministry I think it's the most
00:08:10.689 --> 00:08:14.250
important thing we can do is snow them by name
00:08:14.250 --> 00:08:16.990
and greet them when they come through the door.
00:08:17.990 --> 00:08:21.410
I am too. I am a face person. I'm okay. Yeah.
00:08:21.490 --> 00:08:23.170
You know, but then you're like, feel bad. Cause
00:08:23.170 --> 00:08:28.970
I'm like, can I see your tag? Yeah. They don't
00:08:28.970 --> 00:08:31.870
put tags on the adults. They put tags on the
00:08:31.870 --> 00:08:34.230
kids though. So I get it. I get it. I get a little
00:08:34.230 --> 00:08:37.470
bit of a help there. You know, I recognize kids
00:08:37.470 --> 00:08:39.070
all the time, but I don't always remember their
00:08:39.070 --> 00:08:42.149
names. Uh, and so having tags helps that, but
00:08:42.149 --> 00:08:45.049
yeah, I just think that. Being known being seen
00:08:45.049 --> 00:08:47.490
is one of the most important things that we can
00:08:47.490 --> 00:08:52.850
do as a Congregation as a ministry and so yeah,
00:08:52.850 --> 00:08:57.029
I think that I just think I just I think we Underestimate
00:08:57.029 --> 00:09:01.289
the impact of that or the value of that. Yes
00:09:01.289 --> 00:09:07.169
We have no idea we have no idea we should watch
00:09:07.169 --> 00:09:11.700
that video The the third one that that line I
00:09:11.700 --> 00:09:15.360
thought it was a very it's two minutes Okay,
00:09:15.500 --> 00:09:18.519
so it's just somebody that's talking and we can
00:09:18.519 --> 00:09:20.259
talk through it We can stop it as it goes if
00:09:20.259 --> 00:09:22.240
you have something you want to say Because a
00:09:22.240 --> 00:09:23.460
lot of times what happens when you get to the
00:09:23.460 --> 00:09:25.460
end of a video that long There's 14 things you
00:09:25.460 --> 00:09:27.440
thought about saying yeah, and you'll forget
00:09:27.440 --> 00:09:29.080
by the time you get to the end So yeah, we can
00:09:29.080 --> 00:09:34.039
listen to it To preface it. I think that the
00:09:34.039 --> 00:09:37.080
overarching theme of the video is to understand
00:09:37.080 --> 00:09:42.049
that The struggle is part of the process and
00:09:42.049 --> 00:09:45.070
it's a necessary part of it That's a lot that's
00:09:45.070 --> 00:09:47.370
going on in our world right now is people are
00:09:47.370 --> 00:09:50.450
thinking, you know, their water world is failing
00:09:50.450 --> 00:09:53.330
They think you know so -and -so was against me
00:09:53.330 --> 00:09:57.549
and yeah, and I mean I feel like you know You
00:09:57.549 --> 00:09:59.990
know God didn't make it easy. God God's life
00:09:59.990 --> 00:10:02.289
was not easy. So why should I make it easy for
00:10:02.289 --> 00:10:11.039
us? Right, you know I Asked God for love He removed
00:10:11.039 --> 00:10:16.720
people from my life. Confused, I asked why. He
00:10:16.720 --> 00:10:20.659
said, because not everyone who walks beside you
00:10:20.659 --> 00:10:24.460
is meant to walk with you. I will never allow
00:10:24.460 --> 00:10:26.860
the wrong people to keep you from the purpose
00:10:26.860 --> 00:10:40.909
I have for you. I have brother and sister and
00:10:40.909 --> 00:10:44.610
all that kind of stuff, but I have no, there
00:10:44.610 --> 00:10:49.809
is no part of me that has those relationships
00:10:49.809 --> 00:10:52.169
as impactful as some of the other relationships
00:10:52.169 --> 00:10:55.330
in my life and people that I consider brothers,
00:10:56.330 --> 00:10:58.710
you know what I'm saying, sisters. And not in
00:10:58.710 --> 00:11:02.049
a negative connotation towards anybody, I'm just
00:11:02.049 --> 00:11:04.840
saying. Not that they're wrong people for my
00:11:04.840 --> 00:11:06.679
life. I'm pleased to understand. I'm not trying
00:11:06.679 --> 00:11:09.000
to say that I just want to kind of put in your
00:11:09.000 --> 00:11:13.059
head that Man the people that we surround ourselves
00:11:13.059 --> 00:11:16.980
with you know It's him. It's an important piece
00:11:16.980 --> 00:11:20.600
of the puzzle and not everybody who is in your
00:11:20.600 --> 00:11:23.759
circle has your best interest at heart and you
00:11:23.759 --> 00:11:26.580
really need to check that and if you ask God
00:11:26.580 --> 00:11:31.220
to surround you with people who are really seeking
00:11:31.220 --> 00:11:34.779
after him and Really trying to help you grow
00:11:34.779 --> 00:11:38.179
and you start seeing people disappear. There's
00:11:38.179 --> 00:11:42.379
a reason it's not because God's saying Yeah They
00:11:42.379 --> 00:11:44.379
don't care about you. He's just saying they're
00:11:44.379 --> 00:11:46.200
not the right people for you. It's funny you
00:11:46.200 --> 00:11:48.860
said that because I'm I was trying to tell someone
00:11:48.860 --> 00:11:52.100
the other day about and I wouldn't be where I
00:11:52.100 --> 00:11:55.100
am today without you and I'm glad you're in my
00:11:55.100 --> 00:11:58.679
life and and it's like But I have people that
00:11:58.679 --> 00:12:00.980
see me now. They're like the same person know
00:12:01.509 --> 00:12:05.450
And you have to, God took those people out of
00:12:05.450 --> 00:12:07.450
my life for a reason for me to be where I am
00:12:07.450 --> 00:12:12.769
today. And is my circle small? It is small, but
00:12:12.769 --> 00:12:15.490
I like my circle. Just because you're not in
00:12:15.490 --> 00:12:18.769
my circle doesn't mean you're not in my circle.
00:12:18.809 --> 00:12:21.970
You know what I'm saying? I keep people in my
00:12:21.970 --> 00:12:23.750
circle, it's small. I don't have a lot of people
00:12:23.750 --> 00:12:26.190
in my circle. It's funny that people that we're
00:12:26.190 --> 00:12:28.090
the closest to, the people that we love the most,
00:12:28.090 --> 00:12:30.190
we spend the least amount of time with usually,
00:12:30.759 --> 00:12:34.139
And then you, when you reconnect, it's like there
00:12:34.139 --> 00:12:35.700
was never any separation. You know what I mean?
00:12:35.740 --> 00:12:37.399
Those are the best relationships. Those are the
00:12:37.399 --> 00:12:38.600
best friendships. You know what I mean? Those
00:12:38.600 --> 00:12:40.899
are the relationships that are probably the most
00:12:40.899 --> 00:12:45.220
real. I mean, just being honest. So I find that
00:12:45.220 --> 00:12:47.039
real interesting. It's a weird dynamic because
00:12:47.039 --> 00:12:48.779
you feel like if you care about somebody or you
00:12:48.779 --> 00:12:50.720
love somebody or like somebody, you want to be
00:12:50.720 --> 00:12:54.519
in their presence often. And yeah, you do, but
00:12:54.519 --> 00:12:56.600
life is life, man. And we got - It's like, pressure
00:12:56.600 --> 00:12:58.809
what you say. Show me your friends, I'll show
00:12:58.809 --> 00:13:00.429
you your future. Let me tell you, when you have
00:13:00.429 --> 00:13:05.190
those people that have your best interest, you're
00:13:05.190 --> 00:13:07.990
gonna go farther in life. Not what you wanna
00:13:07.990 --> 00:13:10.769
hear. Not what you wanna hear, because I'm not
00:13:10.769 --> 00:13:13.309
gonna shoot a gun at you. Like you say, man,
00:13:13.470 --> 00:13:15.649
God doesn't give you what you want, he gives
00:13:15.649 --> 00:13:22.490
you what you need. I asked for peace. He allowed
00:13:22.490 --> 00:13:30.039
storms. I cried, why? He answered Because peace
00:13:30.039 --> 00:13:33.700
isn't the absence of storms It's the strength
00:13:33.700 --> 00:13:39.279
to stand firm while they rage I asked for strength.
00:13:39.580 --> 00:13:44.080
He gave me burdens to carry Frustrated I asked
00:13:44.080 --> 00:13:49.399
why he replied Strength isn't given it is built
00:13:49.399 --> 00:13:54.559
Just as iron is forged in fire and shaped by
00:13:54.559 --> 00:13:58.320
the hammer Your character is formed through what
00:13:58.320 --> 00:14:04.620
you endure So I think about that too I've said
00:14:04.620 --> 00:14:07.059
a couple times about I've had my pastor and counselor
00:14:07.059 --> 00:14:09.259
both look me in my face and be like it's a it's
00:14:09.259 --> 00:14:11.000
a wonder that you're even still with us, you
00:14:11.000 --> 00:14:14.980
know what I mean? That's a testimony to the endurance
00:14:14.980 --> 00:14:17.059
and the things that we have endured and my favorite
00:14:17.059 --> 00:14:20.080
scripture in the entire Bible is Romans 5 chapter
00:14:20.080 --> 00:14:23.379
3 through 5 And it's the very first part of it
00:14:23.419 --> 00:14:26.240
we can rejoice to when we run into problems and
00:14:26.240 --> 00:14:29.639
trials because they help us develop endurance.
00:14:29.940 --> 00:14:33.860
The struggle and the trial and the thing, those
00:14:33.860 --> 00:14:36.200
are the thing that build the character to become
00:14:36.200 --> 00:14:39.080
the people we are. Look, the things that happened
00:14:39.080 --> 00:14:43.220
to me as a younger person aren't okay and they're
00:14:43.220 --> 00:14:46.519
not all my fault, right? Some are because of
00:14:46.519 --> 00:14:48.840
other people. They put me in positions I should
00:14:48.840 --> 00:14:51.000
have never been in. You know what I'm saying?
00:14:51.800 --> 00:14:58.120
But at the end of the day, the diligent, stubborn,
00:14:59.039 --> 00:15:03.360
hardworking person that I am doesn't happen without
00:15:03.360 --> 00:15:06.960
those trials and struggles, right? I was made
00:15:06.960 --> 00:15:09.379
to be an adult way faster than I was supposed
00:15:09.379 --> 00:15:11.580
to be an adult. You know what I'm saying? And
00:15:11.580 --> 00:15:13.700
I mean, I'm not saying that you shouldn't have
00:15:13.700 --> 00:15:15.480
responsibilities and things like that, but there's
00:15:15.480 --> 00:15:19.539
a difference with what I'm talking about. I just
00:15:19.539 --> 00:15:22.639
think that... There's so much value in the struggle
00:15:22.639 --> 00:15:25.500
and we don't want to recognize that We don't
00:15:25.500 --> 00:15:27.279
want to recognize those things like so this is
00:15:27.279 --> 00:15:29.220
like the storm like we go back to the when he
00:15:29.220 --> 00:15:35.840
says I give you storms but dude You you're gonna
00:15:35.840 --> 00:15:38.500
go through storms, but don't forget who you're
00:15:38.500 --> 00:15:41.179
in the storm with Right, you're not always gonna
00:15:41.179 --> 00:15:43.139
be by yourself, right? You're gonna have someone
00:15:43.139 --> 00:15:46.200
just remember Just reach people that are gonna
00:15:46.200 --> 00:15:48.639
help you through your storm. It reminds me of
00:15:48.639 --> 00:15:50.320
what pastor Richie talked about earlier today
00:15:50.320 --> 00:15:53.500
when he was talking about Jesus rested while
00:15:53.500 --> 00:15:57.700
the storm was going on right and I love the Illustration
00:15:57.700 --> 00:15:59.860
that because when Christ stepped to the shore
00:15:59.860 --> 00:16:01.559
and he said hey guys get on the boat. We're going
00:16:01.559 --> 00:16:04.940
to the other side You can rest assured we're
00:16:04.940 --> 00:16:07.100
going to the other side, right? Yeah, but you
00:16:07.100 --> 00:16:10.419
get halfway across and a storm rises and Jesus
00:16:10.419 --> 00:16:14.940
is over here and They're freaking out Right,
00:16:14.960 --> 00:16:17.019
what are you can you sleep through this? Yeah,
00:16:17.019 --> 00:16:19.340
they're like don't you even care that we're gonna
00:16:19.340 --> 00:16:22.980
die and he's like, bro Didn't I tell you we're
00:16:22.980 --> 00:16:25.279
going to the other side how little faith you
00:16:25.279 --> 00:16:28.419
have, right? That's the kind of rest in that
00:16:28.419 --> 00:16:31.460
I'm talking about. It's not sleep. It's the confidence
00:16:31.460 --> 00:16:34.440
that We're going to be over there no matter what
00:16:34.440 --> 00:16:36.840
happens right here. This storm is just part of
00:16:36.840 --> 00:16:39.080
it. You may have to do something. You may have
00:16:39.080 --> 00:16:40.879
to work. You may have to put something in it.
00:16:41.200 --> 00:16:43.179
You may have to let the sails down. You may have
00:16:43.179 --> 00:16:46.759
to do something. But at the end of the day, we're
00:16:46.759 --> 00:16:49.980
going to the other side. Absolutely. I asked
00:16:49.980 --> 00:16:54.100
for an easier road. He placed a mountain before
00:16:54.100 --> 00:17:00.019
me. Exhausted, I whispered, why? He said, Because
00:17:00.019 --> 00:17:02.779
the strongest legs are built by climbing, not
00:17:02.779 --> 00:17:07.240
by standing still. That's the thing about the
00:17:07.240 --> 00:17:09.819
rest, right? Rest doesn't mean absence of movement
00:17:09.819 --> 00:17:15.619
or absence of activity. Rest means, what's the
00:17:15.619 --> 00:17:17.559
scripture he used? It's in Hebrews. He said,
00:17:18.400 --> 00:17:25.059
we labor to enter into the rest. It's not...
00:17:25.130 --> 00:17:28.529
we labor so we can get tired and sleep. It's
00:17:28.529 --> 00:17:32.630
labor to get into that confidence. We work so
00:17:32.630 --> 00:17:34.869
hard to grow this relationship so that we are
00:17:34.869 --> 00:17:38.190
fully confident in what God says. Yes, absolutely,
00:17:39.269 --> 00:17:55.299
absolutely. Only always. Only always. God doesn't
00:17:55.299 --> 00:17:58.180
want it to be easy because if it was easy, dude,
00:17:58.680 --> 00:18:01.240
what would it be today? Oh, yeah, there's no
00:18:01.240 --> 00:18:05.680
value in getting stuff handed to you, right?
00:18:05.700 --> 00:18:11.920
Ask some of the greatest athletes, the ones that
00:18:11.920 --> 00:18:15.640
were, and I'm not saying anything ugly or anything
00:18:15.640 --> 00:18:21.220
like that, but a guy like Vince Young, right?
00:18:21.220 --> 00:18:26.319
He just was so naturally gifted and people And
00:18:26.319 --> 00:18:30.039
coaches just kind of handed him everything when
00:18:30.039 --> 00:18:31.859
eventually the world slapped him in the face
00:18:31.859 --> 00:18:33.960
now He had some things that were against him
00:18:33.960 --> 00:18:36.480
once he made it to the NFL, but it didn't last
00:18:36.480 --> 00:18:40.319
because His character wasn't developed. It was
00:18:40.319 --> 00:18:43.880
too much stuff was given to him now I'm a Texas
00:18:43.880 --> 00:18:47.500
Longhorn to the core and I love Vince Young I
00:18:47.500 --> 00:18:51.819
do I love Vince Young but also I've seen numerous
00:18:51.819 --> 00:18:55.259
times how these world -class athletes, football
00:18:55.259 --> 00:18:58.920
players, baseball players, things like that turned
00:18:58.920 --> 00:19:04.900
into broke, druggie folks because they have no
00:19:04.900 --> 00:19:07.400
character. It wasn't developed. They were just
00:19:07.400 --> 00:19:09.039
handed everything because they were so good.
00:19:09.579 --> 00:19:12.200
You know what I mean? That's not you got to earn
00:19:12.200 --> 00:19:14.000
it. You know who my favorite baseball player
00:19:14.000 --> 00:19:16.859
is? I love Pudge Rodriguez. I love Nolan Ryan,
00:19:16.920 --> 00:19:19.400
love Adrian Beltre. My favorite baseball player
00:19:19.400 --> 00:19:22.660
of all time is Michael Young. Short stop in second,
00:19:22.680 --> 00:19:26.619
but who'd you think I was gonna say Barry Bonds?
00:19:33.940 --> 00:19:37.279
Okay, when I was first getting into baseball
00:19:37.279 --> 00:19:41.200
1988 -89 Jose Canseco was everything and yes,
00:19:41.460 --> 00:19:45.319
I did like him at first I don't now Michael Young
00:19:45.319 --> 00:19:50.940
he's he quietly became Mr. Ranger because he
00:19:50.940 --> 00:19:53.759
was just the guy that showed up reliable, hardworking,
00:19:54.000 --> 00:19:57.319
played hard, led by example, did anything that
00:19:57.319 --> 00:20:00.119
the team needed. And look, he was a very good
00:20:00.119 --> 00:20:02.059
baseball player. Don't get me wrong. To me, he's
00:20:02.059 --> 00:20:05.720
a Hall of Famer on a level, but He's just that
00:20:05.720 --> 00:20:08.319
guy. He showed up and did the job every day every
00:20:08.319 --> 00:20:10.960
time without question without complaining Hey,
00:20:11.000 --> 00:20:13.140
we need you to move to shortstop. Okay. Hey,
00:20:13.200 --> 00:20:15.000
we need you to move to second base. Okay. Hey,
00:20:15.059 --> 00:20:16.680
we need you to go to third Okay, but you know
00:20:16.680 --> 00:20:18.500
what's so funny about that is what do you call
00:20:18.500 --> 00:20:21.519
it a utility player? Oh, yeah, so listen to me
00:20:21.519 --> 00:20:24.200
So being a utility player is the same thing as
00:20:24.200 --> 00:20:29.859
about being in God's Word. Oh, yeah, nice Utilities
00:20:29.859 --> 00:20:33.089
is all about getting into it, being a strong
00:20:33.089 --> 00:20:36.930
person, being, you know, how did Jason say it
00:20:36.930 --> 00:20:42.690
one time, being steeled, you know, ironed, forged,
00:20:42.690 --> 00:20:47.410
being forged and just in all ways, you know,
00:20:47.490 --> 00:20:50.329
going through those things, it's all about being
00:20:50.329 --> 00:20:52.589
there. I think something that can help people
00:20:52.589 --> 00:20:54.529
is understanding that we're not going through
00:20:54.529 --> 00:20:57.430
these things for no reason. We think it's just,
00:20:57.670 --> 00:21:01.150
it's unfair. It is unfair, man, life. is unfair
00:21:01.150 --> 00:21:03.529
things that happen to us there are negative things
00:21:03.529 --> 00:21:05.309
that happen in people's lives they should never
00:21:05.309 --> 00:21:09.109
happen but they do and god can work even those
00:21:09.109 --> 00:21:12.809
negative things into a good purpose yes but we've
00:21:12.809 --> 00:21:16.730
got to learn how to use it the right way you
00:21:16.730 --> 00:21:18.390
have to learn to be able to forge it the way
00:21:18.390 --> 00:21:21.490
we should forge it yeah you know what we should
00:21:21.490 --> 00:21:25.549
yeah i can i can get metal hot and beat it down
00:21:25.819 --> 00:21:28.200
But it probably won't end up being sharp, and
00:21:28.200 --> 00:21:29.640
it probably won't end up being strong, because
00:21:29.640 --> 00:21:33.200
I have no idea how to do it, right? But listen,
00:21:33.400 --> 00:21:36.500
you've already forged it. Yeah. But just like
00:21:36.500 --> 00:21:39.400
it says, who's going to help you sharpen your
00:21:39.400 --> 00:21:42.500
blade? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, iron sharpens iron.
00:21:42.900 --> 00:21:47.660
You know? He wasn't making my life easier. He
00:21:47.660 --> 00:21:52.579
was making me stronger. I didn't receive the
00:21:52.579 --> 00:21:56.140
life I asked for. I received the life that would
00:21:56.140 --> 00:22:00.680
prepare me for what lies ahead. Because comfort
00:22:00.680 --> 00:22:07.180
rarely changes us. Fire refines iron. Trials
00:22:07.180 --> 00:22:15.619
refine faith. Endure the fire. God is still shaping
00:22:15.619 --> 00:22:23.630
you. This is an AI video so For sure, but I love
00:22:23.630 --> 00:22:26.769
lions are so there's an intensity about them
00:22:26.769 --> 00:22:29.190
and such a majesty about them I think that's
00:22:29.190 --> 00:22:30.450
why they're called the king of the jungle. Of
00:22:30.450 --> 00:22:31.630
course, they're not from the jungle. They're
00:22:31.630 --> 00:22:35.230
from the frickin desert, but My favorite big
00:22:35.230 --> 00:22:40.309
big cat is a tiger Tigers that's the real king
00:22:40.309 --> 00:22:43.769
of the jungle to me like but they're so They
00:22:43.769 --> 00:22:46.170
have that same kind of power and majesty about
00:22:46.170 --> 00:22:49.259
them. They're fierce But they're majestic, you
00:22:49.259 --> 00:22:50.740
know what I mean? But I wouldn't play around
00:22:50.740 --> 00:22:58.759
with either one. I'm like, oh, bones coming apart
00:22:58.759 --> 00:23:01.680
and everything. Goodness, those are creepy. Yeah.
00:23:01.799 --> 00:23:03.799
But I think to the other part of it is like,
00:23:04.160 --> 00:23:07.460
um, he was talking as a reason we stopped a minute
00:23:07.460 --> 00:23:10.710
ago was he was talking about, um, It's not that
00:23:10.710 --> 00:23:12.529
he wasn't answering my prayers He was just answering
00:23:12.529 --> 00:23:15.289
it differently than I wanted it to be right and
00:23:15.289 --> 00:23:17.789
that's exactly how God always works God's not
00:23:17.789 --> 00:23:19.730
gonna give you the answer you want. He's gonna
00:23:19.730 --> 00:23:22.210
give you the one you need You're gonna get what
00:23:22.210 --> 00:23:24.490
you asked for is you're just gonna get there
00:23:24.490 --> 00:23:26.869
a way that you didn't expect And you're not gonna
00:23:26.869 --> 00:23:30.210
get it in the time that you wanted either Heck
00:23:30.210 --> 00:23:34.450
no, man. Heck. No why because we have to be developed
00:23:34.450 --> 00:23:39.039
have to learn to be patient and dude if I If
00:23:39.039 --> 00:23:41.680
I wanted him to give me something then dude,
00:23:42.519 --> 00:23:45.000
we would be we would be trying to pray like that
00:23:45.000 --> 00:23:49.740
all the time Have you ever uh, hey, okay, so
00:23:49.740 --> 00:23:51.980
that that kind of brings a good point to me You
00:23:51.980 --> 00:23:54.259
know that there's a separation progress process,
00:23:54.279 --> 00:23:56.740
right? There is a weeding out kind of situation
00:23:56.740 --> 00:24:02.059
going on, right? God is willing to love you and
00:24:02.059 --> 00:24:04.380
give you everything. He's paradise is waiting
00:24:04.380 --> 00:24:09.200
right heaven is waiting for you But he has to
00:24:09.200 --> 00:24:11.519
let people decide whether they really believe
00:24:11.519 --> 00:24:15.500
this stuff or not right he wants true real actual
00:24:15.500 --> 00:24:20.299
love not perceived fake love Not people who can
00:24:20.299 --> 00:24:23.779
just say it people who can mean it and be it
00:24:23.779 --> 00:24:28.059
bring it every single time so in the grand scheme
00:24:28.059 --> 00:24:33.400
of things That is what separates us. That's how
00:24:33.400 --> 00:24:37.220
we get weeded out so to speak and I That might
00:24:37.220 --> 00:24:40.759
sound negative, but it's it's a concept that
00:24:40.759 --> 00:24:44.539
happens in everyday life. Yeah, things get separated.
00:24:44.539 --> 00:24:47.539
We weed things out. I'm going to weed that person
00:24:47.539 --> 00:24:49.359
out of my life because they're not good for me.
00:24:49.519 --> 00:24:51.579
It's just like we were looking at some of John's
00:24:51.579 --> 00:24:54.960
comments on something. He goes, I guess this
00:24:54.960 --> 00:24:56.740
is why I don't look at it. It's just like they
00:24:56.740 --> 00:24:59.119
take the contact that we were talking about and
00:24:59.119 --> 00:25:01.940
like made it. I was like, that's not what came
00:25:01.940 --> 00:25:04.569
out of that. That's not what you said that's
00:25:04.569 --> 00:25:07.230
what i ask all of the soldiers of christ who
00:25:07.230 --> 00:25:10.710
are listening to our content you know a lot of
00:25:10.710 --> 00:25:14.509
people who don't believe what we have to talk
00:25:14.509 --> 00:25:19.049
about and and choose to hate about it are willing
00:25:19.049 --> 00:25:22.430
to give us comments but people who actually believe
00:25:22.430 --> 00:25:26.079
don't Frickin comment and it's like man. I wish
00:25:26.079 --> 00:25:27.920
y 'all would engage with us. That's all we're
00:25:27.920 --> 00:25:30.920
that's what we want We weren't we want you to
00:25:30.920 --> 00:25:33.200
engage with us. I just need y 'all to be our
00:25:33.200 --> 00:25:37.240
Always say hey, I need and prayers wherever I
00:25:37.240 --> 00:25:39.940
need warriors on my side. I need prayer words
00:25:39.940 --> 00:25:42.859
I need people to message and say hey this this
00:25:42.859 --> 00:25:45.420
is our I need you to comment to some of these
00:25:45.420 --> 00:25:49.640
things to us for us. Yeah, because their their
00:25:49.640 --> 00:25:51.579
comment i was just like oh some very hateful
00:25:51.579 --> 00:25:54.059
stuff comes through yeah i was like god is poison
00:25:54.059 --> 00:25:56.839
i was like okay what did you get out of that
00:25:56.839 --> 00:26:00.039
much is is that i had one video it was talking
00:26:00.039 --> 00:26:02.440
and we're talking about christ or or talking
00:26:02.440 --> 00:26:04.880
about the bible or something and that there was
00:26:04.880 --> 00:26:08.160
like 17 comments all negative it's like where's
00:26:08.160 --> 00:26:10.079
the people i know they believe i know y 'all
00:26:10.079 --> 00:26:11.960
see it if these negative people see it y 'all
00:26:11.960 --> 00:26:15.680
see it too so help us out man now now what jesus
00:26:15.680 --> 00:26:18.299
felt like when people didn't really you know
00:26:18.599 --> 00:26:20.980
He was speaking, and he was like, are you not
00:26:20.980 --> 00:26:23.920
listening? I guess, um... Why are you not listening
00:26:23.920 --> 00:26:26.180
to me? I've already told you this. I already
00:26:26.180 --> 00:26:28.119
told you the promises I have for you. I know
00:26:28.119 --> 00:26:30.700
for sure Jesus got, I wouldn't say got impatient,
00:26:30.880 --> 00:26:33.960
but got flustered by people. I can't say, there
00:26:33.960 --> 00:26:35.559
was at least two or three times when he said...
00:26:35.559 --> 00:26:36.579
How many times do you think he ever rolled his
00:26:36.579 --> 00:26:42.619
eyes? I bet he rolled his eyes often. Often,
00:26:42.920 --> 00:26:45.940
often. He'd be back there talking to the Father
00:26:45.940 --> 00:26:56.009
like... Man it's funny. Oh awesome for a comment
00:26:56.009 --> 00:26:57.690
on one of our tick -tocks right there if only
00:26:57.690 --> 00:27:05.390
a God existed nice Thanks guy or girl or girl
00:27:05.390 --> 00:27:10.269
But I know there it was Scripturally documented
00:27:10.269 --> 00:27:13.049
at least three times where where God said how
00:27:13.049 --> 00:27:15.569
or Christ said how long must I be with you? That's
00:27:15.569 --> 00:27:19.859
a frustration I'm tired of you. I am so tired
00:27:19.859 --> 00:27:22.319
of your lack of faith. Especially when it was
00:27:22.319 --> 00:27:25.799
coming down to these final days and y 'all still
00:27:25.799 --> 00:27:29.480
don't understand. You're still not getting what
00:27:29.480 --> 00:27:32.099
I'm trying to tell you. The 12 dudes he spent
00:27:32.099 --> 00:27:35.380
three years with, day after day after day after
00:27:35.380 --> 00:27:39.140
day. Walk the same path every day in the same
00:27:39.140 --> 00:27:42.940
sandals. As much as they walk they probably change
00:27:42.940 --> 00:27:47.200
sandals, but I'm sure they did But can I say
00:27:47.200 --> 00:27:49.400
though that there's an encouragement in that?
00:27:49.900 --> 00:27:52.140
There's an encouragement in that because we always
00:27:52.140 --> 00:27:53.900
think we should be somewhere where we're not
00:27:53.900 --> 00:28:00.640
absolutely, right 12 men spent three years Right
00:28:00.640 --> 00:28:04.059
next to Jesus wandering around listening to him
00:28:04.059 --> 00:28:06.880
preaching listen They don't even always record
00:28:06.880 --> 00:28:08.940
the car all the conversations they had behind
00:28:08.940 --> 00:28:13.019
closed doors Now think about that and then think
00:28:13.019 --> 00:28:15.339
about how at the end of that three years they
00:28:15.339 --> 00:28:20.240
were still Not perfected. They were still Trying
00:28:20.240 --> 00:28:22.599
to figure it out. You know what I'm saying? That's
00:28:22.599 --> 00:28:25.980
the encouragement for us today Yeah, right. We're
00:28:25.980 --> 00:28:28.240
still not gonna we're never going to be that's
00:28:28.240 --> 00:28:30.460
the thing right and that's what we need to understand
00:28:30.460 --> 00:28:34.000
and yet those men who he devoted so much time
00:28:34.000 --> 00:28:38.000
and energy to Didn't understand it but still
00:28:38.000 --> 00:28:41.240
became the pillars still became the foundation
00:28:41.240 --> 00:28:45.019
on which Christ's church was built, right? That's
00:28:45.019 --> 00:28:47.680
an encouraging thing. Yeah, and died sometimes.
00:28:47.759 --> 00:28:50.559
Some of these people died in horrible deaths.
00:28:51.259 --> 00:28:54.079
Horrible. But you know what? Not for a lie, my
00:28:54.079 --> 00:28:58.440
friend. I'm sorry. Not gonna happen. Not gonna
00:28:58.440 --> 00:29:01.140
happen. Not for a lie. I'm sorry. Wouldn't happen.
00:29:01.849 --> 00:29:04.970
You can't convince me that they were getting
00:29:04.970 --> 00:29:07.369
paid for this lie. Not to die like this, I'm
00:29:07.369 --> 00:29:10.170
not. You can't pay me enough to dip me in boiling
00:29:10.170 --> 00:29:13.730
oil. You can't pay me enough to crucify me. You
00:29:13.730 --> 00:29:17.549
can't. I'm sorry, not gonna happen. Not gonna
00:29:17.549 --> 00:29:22.569
happen, I'm sorry. I think that the thing that
00:29:22.569 --> 00:29:27.089
comes to mind to me right now is it's such a
00:29:27.089 --> 00:29:30.230
hard question to ask anybody. It's such a hard
00:29:30.230 --> 00:29:33.069
thing to think about because it's just impossible
00:29:33.069 --> 00:29:36.250
to answer truthfully you can give your best possible
00:29:36.250 --> 00:29:43.630
answer but If you got to spend a few minutes
00:29:43.630 --> 00:29:48.250
in the presence of God I Mean, what would you
00:29:48.250 --> 00:29:50.769
say? What would you I don't know what I was anything.
00:29:50.890 --> 00:29:55.140
I would probably just more like in it and Feel
00:29:55.140 --> 00:29:56.779
like I wouldn't be able to say anything I feel
00:29:56.779 --> 00:29:58.519
like I would just want him to I would just want
00:29:58.519 --> 00:30:00.420
him to hold I just would want to hold his hands
00:30:00.420 --> 00:30:03.799
and just Just you know, I would just play listen
00:30:03.799 --> 00:30:06.200
to him talk, you know to me. Yeah, you know,
00:30:06.359 --> 00:30:08.099
I don't know what I would say to him I really
00:30:08.099 --> 00:30:10.160
don't know what I would say to him. I think if
00:30:10.160 --> 00:30:15.039
If I had the opportunity this is what came to
00:30:15.039 --> 00:30:18.599
me just now If I had the opportunity to be truthfully
00:30:18.599 --> 00:30:20.980
in his presence and ability to communicate with
00:30:20.980 --> 00:30:26.319
him in such a way in such a direct way Wouldn't
00:30:26.319 --> 00:30:28.640
say anything and I wouldn't ask a ton of questions.
00:30:28.640 --> 00:30:30.380
I would just say what is it that you need me
00:30:30.380 --> 00:30:32.599
to know? What is it that you need me to hear?
00:30:33.480 --> 00:30:36.099
I would love to hear what is it that you're trying
00:30:36.099 --> 00:30:37.980
to say to me right now? What would you want to
00:30:37.980 --> 00:30:40.660
say Christ? What would you want to say to me
00:30:40.660 --> 00:30:44.079
right now? I? Would really love to know that
00:30:44.079 --> 00:30:47.599
answer that would be I would want to know what
00:30:47.599 --> 00:30:58.130
my pathetic word prophetic word That's another
00:30:58.130 --> 00:31:01.869
one like do you okay here's something so, you
00:31:01.869 --> 00:31:07.069
know that God has plans for you Knowing who we
00:31:07.069 --> 00:31:12.970
are and people in general how we operate If God
00:31:12.970 --> 00:31:16.230
sat can sit you down right now and say this is
00:31:16.230 --> 00:31:30.450
my plan I Don't have that part of it I'm just
00:31:30.450 --> 00:31:32.309
saying if he could sit with you or if he was
00:31:32.309 --> 00:31:36.150
going to sit with you right now and go hey This
00:31:36.150 --> 00:31:39.549
is my plan for you. So all of this is building
00:31:39.549 --> 00:31:42.230
you to this This is where I want you to be. This
00:31:42.230 --> 00:31:43.910
is what I'm trying to get you to because it's
00:31:43.910 --> 00:31:47.470
gonna do this for my kingdom Do you think you
00:31:47.470 --> 00:31:49.670
follow it? Do you think that you didn't believe
00:31:49.670 --> 00:31:56.539
him? Would tell you yes, yeah sure I mean it's
00:31:56.539 --> 00:32:09.819
God rise Say it three times if you really mean
00:32:09.819 --> 00:32:15.099
it It's it's I just that's an interesting thought
00:32:15.099 --> 00:32:19.740
I just wonder if You would even believe it right
00:32:19.740 --> 00:32:21.859
would you even believe what he was telling you?
00:32:21.789 --> 00:32:23.910
Would you even believe that he's calling it,
00:32:23.970 --> 00:32:25.549
that he's saying that this is what I called you
00:32:25.549 --> 00:32:28.509
for? This was my plan for you all along, you
00:32:28.509 --> 00:32:36.029
know? I don't know. Knowing people. Some people
00:32:36.029 --> 00:32:37.529
still wouldn't believe it. What we would say
00:32:37.529 --> 00:32:39.930
is something to the effect of, well, that might
00:32:39.930 --> 00:32:43.069
be for somebody, but not me. Yeah. You know what
00:32:43.069 --> 00:32:47.150
I mean? Some people's belief in things are just
00:32:47.150 --> 00:32:49.369
not believable. You know, don't believe anyway,
00:32:49.589 --> 00:32:55.200
you know? Sad state of affairs. This world is
00:32:55.200 --> 00:33:01.180
so I was looking at comments. Okay on our Other
00:33:01.180 --> 00:33:03.680
tick tock and there's about 17 comments on one
00:33:03.680 --> 00:33:07.079
from today and all are positive except for one
00:33:07.079 --> 00:33:10.640
So just so you know They all said amen. Amen.
00:33:10.740 --> 00:33:13.599
Amen. Amen. Hey, but you know what? As long as
00:33:13.599 --> 00:33:15.500
we're getting some amens and that's there was
00:33:15.500 --> 00:33:19.170
one that was a meme and it said A page a day
00:33:19.170 --> 00:33:25.509
keeps the Satan away. Another one said, God loves
00:33:25.509 --> 00:33:29.410
you. Yes, he does. It's always nice to get feedback.
00:33:30.529 --> 00:33:33.269
It's nice to get positive feedback. I'm okay
00:33:33.269 --> 00:33:37.329
with being, I can take constructive criticism.
00:33:38.089 --> 00:33:40.869
I understand if people look at what we're doing
00:33:40.869 --> 00:33:42.269
and be like, you know, you could do this and
00:33:42.269 --> 00:33:43.809
you could do that, you should do this, you should
00:33:43.809 --> 00:33:47.150
do that. Your camera angle sucks. It probably
00:33:47.150 --> 00:33:49.630
does. I'm not a production engineer. You know
00:33:49.630 --> 00:33:51.150
what I mean? I don't know anything about what
00:33:51.150 --> 00:33:54.170
I'm doing. Well, I'm not. I want to create a
00:33:54.170 --> 00:33:55.970
good product, but that's not what I'm here for.
00:33:56.009 --> 00:33:58.470
Okay. So my deal is so some people want to be,
00:33:58.529 --> 00:34:02.150
what do you call that? Um, negative, mean, ugly
00:34:02.150 --> 00:34:05.549
people when people are on Facebook or tick tock
00:34:05.549 --> 00:34:10.150
and they want to be influencers. Yes. What's
00:34:10.150 --> 00:34:12.829
the difference between that and this? This is
00:34:12.829 --> 00:34:15.710
the same idea. We're just not there. We don't
00:34:15.710 --> 00:34:19.090
have 2 .7 million likes on our video. Thanks,
00:34:19.150 --> 00:34:24.369
Ben Matias. Ben Matias is amazing. He does great
00:34:24.369 --> 00:34:27.489
production. My thing is, is if you'll look like
00:34:27.489 --> 00:34:29.269
some of his background, you can, you know, he
00:34:29.269 --> 00:34:32.610
doesn't, some of his backgrounds are not like
00:34:32.610 --> 00:34:35.909
perfect or whatever, but you know what? I don't
00:34:35.909 --> 00:34:38.610
think he really cares what you think. You know
00:34:38.610 --> 00:34:39.949
what I'm saying? You know, he started somewhere
00:34:39.949 --> 00:34:43.869
too. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. We all do.
00:34:44.309 --> 00:34:46.929
At the end of the day, I'm trying to do the best
00:34:46.929 --> 00:34:52.389
I can and I'm trying to Help people while helping
00:34:52.389 --> 00:34:55.570
myself You know, we just want to reach that one.
00:34:55.570 --> 00:34:58.170
That's just I want if we reach that one I have
00:34:58.170 --> 00:35:02.809
to I have to say today was uh, it was hard to
00:35:02.809 --> 00:35:06.010
listen to that testimony from from Wyatt He really
00:35:06.010 --> 00:35:08.449
was not hard in a bad way when your kid he was
00:35:08.449 --> 00:35:10.210
in I was in youth with him Yeah, that's where
00:35:10.210 --> 00:35:13.710
I met him. It was where I met him and you know
00:35:13.670 --> 00:35:18.349
Yeah, I did stop and tell him, hey man, I just
00:35:18.349 --> 00:35:20.409
want you to know I'm proud of you. You know what
00:35:20.409 --> 00:35:23.130
I mean? I walked up to him and said, did you
00:35:23.130 --> 00:35:25.309
just want to make me cry today? I know, right?
00:35:25.349 --> 00:35:29.289
I said, because that was awesome, dude. Most
00:35:29.289 --> 00:35:32.190
of the time, you don't get the opportunity or
00:35:32.190 --> 00:35:34.170
the benefit of seeing the people you actually
00:35:34.170 --> 00:35:37.550
impact. He's never said anything to me, and I
00:35:37.550 --> 00:35:41.719
don't. Dare take credit for anything. He's never
00:35:41.719 --> 00:35:43.820
said, you know, you did this or anything like
00:35:43.820 --> 00:35:47.900
that and I don't assume that But I know I was
00:35:47.900 --> 00:35:51.079
in there I know was involved at some level so
00:35:51.079 --> 00:35:53.500
that's good. That's good It's part of your hearts
00:35:53.500 --> 00:35:56.559
like okay. Yeah, and I had an impact on that.
00:35:56.719 --> 00:35:59.559
Yeah. Yeah, you know, I was involved I'm part
00:35:59.559 --> 00:36:02.400
of the story. I may not be the central figure
00:36:02.400 --> 00:36:04.440
and that's okay Christ should be the central
00:36:04.440 --> 00:36:08.980
figure anyway But you know what, to see these
00:36:08.980 --> 00:36:12.059
kids, like I prayed over some kids today and
00:36:12.059 --> 00:36:15.800
I won't, you know, um, his, their mom went to
00:36:15.800 --> 00:36:19.820
prison. I didn't ask why. Yeah. And some of the,
00:36:19.820 --> 00:36:23.079
the lady that's keeping home is, I don't know
00:36:23.079 --> 00:36:24.940
if it's a family member or a friend, but she
00:36:24.940 --> 00:36:28.139
took these two grown kids and I'm not saying
00:36:28.139 --> 00:36:30.360
they're little, they're grown. They're probably
00:36:30.360 --> 00:36:33.139
fixing to middle school, probably blast time
00:36:33.139 --> 00:36:34.400
in middle school and they're going to move to
00:36:34.400 --> 00:36:37.869
high school. and to take on those kind of burdens
00:36:37.869 --> 00:36:42.909
and take these kids on. I prayed for their mom,
00:36:43.309 --> 00:36:47.630
hopefully she gets what she needs there and you
00:36:47.630 --> 00:36:50.090
get what you need and this lady that's taking
00:36:50.090 --> 00:36:52.269
you in that she's gonna give you what you need
00:36:52.269 --> 00:36:54.989
and put God in the center of your lives guys
00:36:54.989 --> 00:36:57.849
because God is where it's at and God is where
00:36:57.849 --> 00:37:00.869
he needs to be in your lives right now God's
00:37:00.869 --> 00:37:04.239
putting you in this path For you to be right
00:37:04.239 --> 00:37:07.300
here at this moment and that what the bigger
00:37:07.300 --> 00:37:10.000
kick was and he hugged me so hard John I was
00:37:10.000 --> 00:37:15.219
like But you know what felt that I felt that
00:37:15.219 --> 00:37:18.159
yeah, but you know what it was amazing and it
00:37:18.159 --> 00:37:21.300
almost made me cry and I was just like I Hope
00:37:21.300 --> 00:37:24.280
he takes it and I hope he comes back next Sunday
00:37:24.280 --> 00:37:27.039
feel so bad and it's just great and I loved it
00:37:27.039 --> 00:37:29.659
because you could tell in his eyes He just you
00:37:29.659 --> 00:37:31.940
know you you know I don't know what their mom's
00:37:31.940 --> 00:37:34.500
there and I'm sure they're mad or upset or she
00:37:34.500 --> 00:37:36.420
probably didn't deserve it or this but you know
00:37:36.420 --> 00:37:39.179
it doesn't matter what the story is let's what
00:37:39.179 --> 00:37:43.280
we get let's get what we need now and let's pray
00:37:43.280 --> 00:37:46.960
about it every day because now I have it and
00:37:46.960 --> 00:37:49.019
if I every time I think about people that I've
00:37:49.019 --> 00:37:52.440
prayed for um in the I mean weeks and weeks I
00:37:52.440 --> 00:37:54.619
still think about I'm like oh hey God please
00:37:54.619 --> 00:37:56.500
hey I haven't thought about them hey can I pray
00:37:56.500 --> 00:38:00.309
for them hey send out some of my My positivity
00:38:00.309 --> 00:38:03.969
to them. Give my positive to them. Give it to
00:38:03.969 --> 00:38:06.130
them. I love them. I want them to know that you
00:38:06.130 --> 00:38:08.210
know what, they have someone right there. That
00:38:08.210 --> 00:38:10.969
little person right here that's just tickling
00:38:10.969 --> 00:38:13.489
their ear. What are you doing? Nothing. You're
00:38:13.489 --> 00:38:17.309
touching my feet. Stop just touching your feet.
00:38:17.829 --> 00:38:20.130
I'm like... I can't hold your hand from a distance.
00:38:22.369 --> 00:38:24.429
It's one of the things that makes I just feel
00:38:24.429 --> 00:38:28.449
so much pride and love. When you tell me stuff
00:38:28.449 --> 00:38:31.130
like this just I just love I just I'm so proud.
00:38:31.130 --> 00:38:33.929
I just love kids I just I just you know some
00:38:33.929 --> 00:38:36.530
kids you're gonna some kids you're going to you're
00:38:36.530 --> 00:38:38.449
gonna get through isn't kids You're not yeah,
00:38:38.449 --> 00:38:41.170
and that's just people in general I would tell
00:38:41.170 --> 00:38:43.389
you you know you were looking at those negative
00:38:43.389 --> 00:38:45.590
comments, and it was it was getting on I was
00:38:45.590 --> 00:38:49.389
upsetting you It to me. I used to I used to get
00:38:49.389 --> 00:38:51.750
upset by it now. I just I just feel sorry for
00:38:51.750 --> 00:38:56.039
him I just want you with a bird Just kidding
00:38:56.039 --> 00:38:57.840
I would never do that, but yeah, I probably would
00:38:57.840 --> 00:39:00.940
I'll give him a bird Probably not what I'm supposed
00:39:00.940 --> 00:39:04.900
to give him, but I'll give him one No, I just
00:39:04.900 --> 00:39:14.780
I just Okay The thing is to me Could I be wrong
00:39:14.780 --> 00:39:18.800
sure I could be wrong. Yeah, I could be I Don't
00:39:18.800 --> 00:39:23.199
think I am I strongly believe that I'm not But
00:39:23.199 --> 00:39:27.059
I could be You know when I when we first got
00:39:27.059 --> 00:39:29.179
together when we first got together, I mean,
00:39:29.460 --> 00:39:31.539
I'm not gonna lie to you I don't didn't know
00:39:31.539 --> 00:39:34.920
the Bible as good as I did a kids Bible. I needed
00:39:34.920 --> 00:39:36.780
kids. You know the stories I know the stories
00:39:36.780 --> 00:39:39.559
but when y 'all interacted with you and dad talk
00:39:39.559 --> 00:39:45.579
y 'all's conversations were so I Mean intense
00:39:45.579 --> 00:39:48.280
I was just like I can't do this and I get it
00:39:48.280 --> 00:39:53.179
but But now I look at it. I'm like, okay I'm
00:39:53.179 --> 00:39:55.019
getting it I'm getting better and better and
00:39:55.019 --> 00:39:58.239
better at it on the stories and the Bible and
00:39:58.239 --> 00:40:02.340
the words and and just listening and I'm telling
00:40:02.340 --> 00:40:05.179
you it's just guys get into your Bibles because
00:40:05.179 --> 00:40:07.960
I know I sometimes I don't understand either
00:40:07.960 --> 00:40:11.719
get about what you understand some people understand
00:40:11.719 --> 00:40:14.059
all too well and they think they know everything
00:40:14.059 --> 00:40:16.960
is what happens they think that they know but
00:40:16.960 --> 00:40:19.420
reading but they're not reading yeah they're
00:40:19.420 --> 00:40:25.849
not receiving yeah right I It just disheartens
00:40:25.849 --> 00:40:35.130
me that people can't have that relationship because
00:40:35.130 --> 00:40:38.309
all the things that they say negatively come
00:40:38.309 --> 00:40:40.670
from an Old Testament perspective and the things
00:40:40.670 --> 00:40:43.829
that were established through the covenant of
00:40:43.829 --> 00:40:46.909
the Old Testament and the law, we don't live
00:40:46.909 --> 00:40:49.269
under that covenant anymore. We live under the
00:40:49.269 --> 00:40:54.980
covenant of grace and mercy. I will never presume
00:40:54.980 --> 00:40:58.639
to say that God made a mistake. I won't. How
00:40:58.639 --> 00:41:01.219
can I tell the creator of the universe that he
00:41:01.219 --> 00:41:05.679
made a mistake? How can I? How can I? How can
00:41:05.679 --> 00:41:09.340
you tell an artist that his painting was done
00:41:09.340 --> 00:41:15.260
wrong? It's his painting. It's like you were
00:41:15.260 --> 00:41:18.639
talking about the way I write. You know how I
00:41:18.639 --> 00:41:21.179
like, I basically talk to myself while I'm writing,
00:41:21.340 --> 00:41:22.980
you know what I mean? I'll argue with myself
00:41:22.980 --> 00:41:27.199
on the paper. I let you into my thoughts in the
00:41:27.199 --> 00:41:30.159
process. It's a way that I feel like I communicate
00:41:30.159 --> 00:41:33.460
on a personal level. That's important to me.
00:41:33.800 --> 00:41:37.679
It's weird for people and people will read it
00:41:37.679 --> 00:41:42.019
and be like, I don't get it. Okay, you don't
00:41:42.019 --> 00:41:45.440
have to. You don't have to get it, but somebody
00:41:45.440 --> 00:41:49.500
will get it. At the end of the day, you can't
00:41:49.500 --> 00:41:53.340
tell me it's wrong. It's not wrong. It's mine.
00:41:53.820 --> 00:41:55.699
It's mine. It's mine and it's what comes from
00:41:55.699 --> 00:41:58.860
my heart. It's like Ephesians 2 10 when God says,
00:41:59.420 --> 00:42:04.000
you are God's masterpiece. Bro, a masterpiece
00:42:04.000 --> 00:42:06.780
is created through the eyes of the artist, not
00:42:06.780 --> 00:42:10.820
the freaking patron who looks at the art. The
00:42:10.820 --> 00:42:16.579
artist is the author, right? So your imperfections
00:42:16.579 --> 00:42:20.119
while they may be imperfect They were there for
00:42:20.119 --> 00:42:22.980
a reason. Yes. Yes every little thing. God does
00:42:22.980 --> 00:42:26.820
not make mistakes They may look like mistakes
00:42:26.820 --> 00:42:29.800
But he don't make mistakes man. He did everything
00:42:29.800 --> 00:42:32.320
he did on purpose. Let me tell you something
00:42:32.320 --> 00:42:35.679
Every single thing when I read through the Bible.
00:42:35.679 --> 00:42:39.400
It's so intentional Right. It is so intentional.
00:42:39.400 --> 00:42:42.969
It's a connected to something else Okay, I'll
00:42:42.969 --> 00:42:45.570
give you a great example the plagues right happens
00:42:45.570 --> 00:42:48.530
in the Old Testament before the Exodus before
00:42:48.530 --> 00:42:52.090
the The Israelite people were let out of Egypt
00:42:52.090 --> 00:42:55.190
right every single one of the plagues You know
00:42:55.190 --> 00:42:57.210
that that was addressing one of the Egyptian
00:42:57.210 --> 00:43:01.130
gods every single one was addressing one of the
00:43:01.130 --> 00:43:04.809
Egyptian gods Basically showing hey this God
00:43:04.809 --> 00:43:07.590
Egypt that you've been believing in guess what
00:43:07.590 --> 00:43:12.090
he's not real, but I am That's what that was
00:43:12.090 --> 00:43:14.989
every single one of them right another great
00:43:14.989 --> 00:43:18.590
point The three temptations of christ whenever
00:43:18.590 --> 00:43:21.550
he's refusing the enemy every one of those temptations
00:43:21.550 --> 00:43:24.329
are the temptations that adam and eve faced And
00:43:24.329 --> 00:43:28.730
guess what he conquered all three of those It's
00:43:28.730 --> 00:43:31.730
intentional. Yeah, it's it's done on purpose
00:43:31.730 --> 00:43:36.389
It's written on purpose not to make robotic people
00:43:36.389 --> 00:43:39.949
To draw people into a relationship. That's real
00:43:40.170 --> 00:43:44.369
And to rescue people from the freaking stupidity
00:43:44.369 --> 00:43:48.849
of humanity humans have the capacity to be great
00:43:48.849 --> 00:43:52.489
and Yet they use their ability to be great to
00:43:52.489 --> 00:43:57.090
be hateful. Mm -hmm Stinking hurts my heart.
00:43:57.090 --> 00:43:59.889
Yes, sir. And that's why I hate I don't hate
00:43:59.889 --> 00:44:04.989
those comments. I feel sorry for you. Yeah You
00:44:04.989 --> 00:44:08.449
can you can say I'm dumb whatever you say, yeah
00:44:08.650 --> 00:44:10.949
If you sit down and have an intellectual conversation
00:44:10.949 --> 00:44:13.349
with me, I don't think you would ever think that
00:44:13.349 --> 00:44:15.829
I'm dumb. Exactly. Until you find out I believe
00:44:15.829 --> 00:44:19.829
in Jesus. Right. Shame on you. Yeah, shame. Shame,
00:44:19.949 --> 00:44:25.929
shame. So, shame on me and how stupid am I for
00:44:25.929 --> 00:44:28.690
putting myself out there in that way with no
00:44:28.690 --> 00:44:33.230
prior experience or knowledge or I don't have
00:44:33.230 --> 00:44:35.170
anybody trying to help us push it out there.
00:44:35.190 --> 00:44:36.889
You know, we just put ourselves out there. Yeah.
00:44:36.969 --> 00:44:42.219
Hey. Why not I'm such a I'm such a great face
00:44:42.219 --> 00:44:43.960
for Jesus, you know what I'm saying like come
00:44:43.960 --> 00:44:46.599
on man that's my point though the whole point
00:44:46.599 --> 00:44:49.739
of everything that we do is because God uses
00:44:49.739 --> 00:44:56.280
the imperfect Right every single person has a
00:44:56.280 --> 00:45:01.739
story Every single person has a calling and my
00:45:01.739 --> 00:45:04.440
story may not look like yours. My story looks
00:45:04.440 --> 00:45:06.960
like a lot of people's And your story looks like
00:45:06.960 --> 00:45:09.139
a lot of people's. And we're meant to help each
00:45:09.139 --> 00:45:10.639
other. That's right. That's what we're supposed
00:45:10.639 --> 00:45:15.059
to do. That's the point. That's the entire point.
00:45:15.539 --> 00:45:17.159
That's the entire point of this relationship.
00:45:18.280 --> 00:45:20.599
It's a struggle. It's a fight. And just because
00:45:20.599 --> 00:45:22.320
you believe in Jesus doesn't mean it's going
00:45:22.320 --> 00:45:24.300
to get easy. That's right. It's actually going
00:45:24.300 --> 00:45:26.099
to get hard. Everything's a struggle. Doesn't
00:45:26.099 --> 00:45:32.059
matter what it is. 100%. It's just like people
00:45:32.059 --> 00:45:36.630
who... Wait their whole lives to try to be in
00:45:36.630 --> 00:45:38.570
the perfect situation before they get married
00:45:38.570 --> 00:45:40.730
or before they have kids. Oh, yeah You'll never
00:45:40.730 --> 00:45:42.969
get there. Yeah, if you wait for the time that
00:45:42.969 --> 00:45:45.150
it's everything every ingredient is perfect.
00:45:46.090 --> 00:45:54.090
Yeah Right, so I Don't know man. I just it hurts.
00:45:54.090 --> 00:45:56.730
I feel sorry for people. I want them to be in
00:45:56.730 --> 00:45:59.349
this relationship I really do but I also want
00:45:59.610 --> 00:46:02.210
People to be willing to surround themselves with
00:46:02.210 --> 00:46:05.730
other people to get into conversations to to
00:46:05.730 --> 00:46:10.170
be Okay, I have firm opinions and firm feelings
00:46:10.170 --> 00:46:13.909
and firm thoughts and firm Faiths right we all
00:46:13.909 --> 00:46:18.730
do right. Yeah, I do too But I'm not so firm
00:46:18.730 --> 00:46:22.690
that I'm not willing to listen or bend anything
00:46:22.690 --> 00:46:25.570
Right, and that's the forum that we're trying
00:46:25.570 --> 00:46:29.099
to create in our small group here is to create
00:46:29.099 --> 00:46:32.139
a space where it's safe to have a conversation
00:46:32.139 --> 00:46:35.199
without fear of judgment, without fear of hate.
00:46:35.760 --> 00:46:38.219
You don't have to agree with me. That's fine.
00:46:38.820 --> 00:46:41.920
It's okay. You don't have to. You can choose
00:46:41.920 --> 00:46:44.219
to believe something else. That's fine. I love
00:46:44.219 --> 00:46:46.980
you anyway. But you don't have to be hateful
00:46:46.980 --> 00:46:50.179
to me about it. I agree. I totally agree. If
00:46:50.179 --> 00:46:52.579
you want to say that comment, you're not brave
00:46:52.579 --> 00:46:54.579
enough to continue saying the comment after I'm
00:46:54.579 --> 00:46:56.579
like, well, why do you say that? You don't say
00:46:56.579 --> 00:46:59.360
nothing. You're brave enough to say the first
00:46:59.360 --> 00:47:00.980
thing but you're not brave enough to follow it
00:47:00.980 --> 00:47:04.420
up. Come on, man You know, it's just a conversation
00:47:04.420 --> 00:47:07.280
This is the way it goes, but I want to have conversations
00:47:07.280 --> 00:47:08.780
with people. That's what that's what I'm trying
00:47:08.780 --> 00:47:13.659
to have here, you know, I'm So what are we? We're
00:47:13.659 --> 00:47:16.400
coming up closely on three years worth of doing
00:47:16.400 --> 00:47:19.280
this 150 episodes coming up really soon in the
00:47:19.280 --> 00:47:25.179
next few weeks. I mean That's a lot You know
00:47:25.179 --> 00:47:27.519
some people I mean the statistics is you don't
00:47:27.519 --> 00:47:30.900
even make it What was it would you say even a
00:47:30.900 --> 00:47:33.920
year or even half a year the? Statistics on the
00:47:33.920 --> 00:47:36.079
number of podcasts that make it past 10 episodes
00:47:36.079 --> 00:47:40.460
is astronomically low So yeah, and the statistics
00:47:40.460 --> 00:47:43.000
get smaller as the number gets bigger yeah, right
00:47:43.000 --> 00:47:47.960
and we're still doing it coming up on 150 episodes
00:47:47.960 --> 00:47:52.480
in right and And look I'm here. I'd say we're
00:47:52.480 --> 00:47:55.179
further than we started But it doesn't look like
00:47:55.179 --> 00:47:57.739
what we thought no, but it's not like it was
00:47:57.739 --> 00:48:00.599
before heck No, but now look where we're one
00:48:00.599 --> 00:48:03.559
step ahead and we're still going stronger than
00:48:03.559 --> 00:48:06.920
we were I'm gonna keep going. I just want us
00:48:06.920 --> 00:48:09.440
to surround ourselves with people I want people
00:48:09.440 --> 00:48:11.860
to come into this space. You don't have to come
00:48:11.860 --> 00:48:14.059
into this room I mean you're welcome to if you
00:48:14.059 --> 00:48:17.619
want to you can but I can't pay you We want to
00:48:17.619 --> 00:48:22.099
have real conversations You know, I'm not an
00:48:22.099 --> 00:48:24.179
interviewer. I don't even know what that looks
00:48:24.179 --> 00:48:26.840
like. I don't even know how to conduct an actual
00:48:26.840 --> 00:48:29.320
interview. I know how to ask questions. I think
00:48:29.320 --> 00:48:33.300
you'd be good at it. I really do. Well, I mean,
00:48:33.340 --> 00:48:35.460
maybe, but I don't know. I've never done it before,
00:48:36.519 --> 00:48:38.880
right? It's just like trying to do the freelance
00:48:38.880 --> 00:48:40.980
voiceover thing. I've never done that before.
00:48:41.079 --> 00:48:43.179
I think you'd be good at it. Y 'all have to see
00:48:43.179 --> 00:48:45.079
the picture. Nobody's hired me yet. Y 'all have
00:48:45.079 --> 00:48:46.840
to see the picture he put out. I was like, ooh.
00:48:48.579 --> 00:48:52.079
You can go see it on Fiverr if you want to hire
00:48:52.079 --> 00:48:57.639
my voice I Think it's been a really good conversation
00:48:57.639 --> 00:48:59.780
interesting. I didn't know how this was gonna
00:48:59.780 --> 00:49:03.000
go because it's not But and I don't think we're
00:49:03.000 --> 00:49:06.159
quite there yet There's one last video. I wanted
00:49:06.159 --> 00:49:09.059
to show and it's this been another been the tires
00:49:09.059 --> 00:49:15.869
video Man I would love Ben Mathias, reach us
00:49:15.869 --> 00:49:18.110
out, reach out. I hope I'm saying that right.
00:49:18.170 --> 00:49:19.869
I don't know if it's Mathias or Matias, it's
00:49:19.869 --> 00:49:21.869
hard to tell. Yeah. All right, check this one
00:49:21.869 --> 00:49:24.230
out. Hey, I'm gonna order me a pizza, you want
00:49:24.230 --> 00:49:27.070
a thing? Yeah, just give me some wings. All right,
00:49:27.130 --> 00:49:29.010
just cash app it to me. Should be here in about
00:49:29.010 --> 00:49:35.329
30 minutes. What about Mark? What about him?
00:49:35.329 --> 00:49:40.750
He's broke. I'll pay for him. You know, you need
00:49:40.750 --> 00:49:43.380
to stop doing that. He's here like every single
00:49:43.380 --> 00:49:45.460
day. He doesn't do anything but just sits there.
00:49:45.820 --> 00:49:47.900
He'd have some money if he wasn't so damn lazy.
00:49:49.599 --> 00:49:52.719
What is wrong with you? No, what is wrong with
00:49:52.719 --> 00:49:56.280
you? You condoned this? When do we stop supporting
00:49:56.280 --> 00:49:59.440
each other? It's okay, guys. I'm just gonna go.
00:50:00.380 --> 00:50:04.440
No, you're fine. When your car broke down, who
00:50:04.440 --> 00:50:07.840
was there to help you fix it? When you needed
00:50:07.840 --> 00:50:09.940
help moving, who was there helping you move?
00:50:11.289 --> 00:50:17.489
For free didn't charge you anything He's got
00:50:17.489 --> 00:50:19.349
things going on in his life that he would rather
00:50:19.349 --> 00:50:23.449
not talk about but being around friends Helps
00:50:23.449 --> 00:50:26.650
him deal with it. Amen. He's no longer useful
00:50:26.650 --> 00:50:29.610
to you. So you just want to cast him aside. I
00:50:29.610 --> 00:50:33.670
Didn't say that You didn't have to Go pick up
00:50:33.670 --> 00:50:37.909
your pizza You can have my wings, too Are you
00:50:37.909 --> 00:50:41.139
serious right now? If the only reason you want
00:50:41.139 --> 00:50:45.300
to sit at my table is to benefit yourself, I'm
00:50:45.300 --> 00:50:47.719
sorry, but there's no chair here for you. Amen.
00:50:47.780 --> 00:50:55.619
Oh, golly. Whatever. It's true, though. There's
00:50:55.619 --> 00:50:58.639
no chair here for you. Do that. If you're only
00:50:58.639 --> 00:51:00.559
in it for you, then you don't belong at this
00:51:00.559 --> 00:51:02.500
table. Yes. Like I said, I'm telling you right
00:51:02.500 --> 00:51:05.920
now, I couldn't, I mean, anybody's welcome on
00:51:05.920 --> 00:51:11.099
my table. But burn me once. I'm okay for me twice
00:51:11.099 --> 00:51:15.980
Here's a lost cause here you go He's just have
00:51:15.980 --> 00:51:19.159
packing, you know, it's it's the it's the selfish
00:51:19.159 --> 00:51:23.099
thing that it's like, you know, man We're all
00:51:23.099 --> 00:51:26.340
selfish on a level. We all have selfish Things
00:51:26.340 --> 00:51:29.500
so ways that we can be so I'm definitely selfish
00:51:29.500 --> 00:51:33.460
with my time With you and I don't really necessarily
00:51:33.460 --> 00:51:40.000
like to share me Hell no Hell no. You're my best
00:51:40.000 --> 00:51:43.039
friend, bro. Like I have other people that I
00:51:43.039 --> 00:51:44.880
love spending time with and things like that,
00:51:44.880 --> 00:51:46.719
but we always have to spend time with them and
00:51:46.719 --> 00:51:48.820
a bunch of other people. I don't want to spend
00:51:48.820 --> 00:51:51.500
time with them. I'll spend time with them. And
00:51:51.500 --> 00:51:54.079
then I just, I like to spend time with you. I
00:51:54.079 --> 00:51:57.159
think it's crazy because I know you don't understand
00:51:57.159 --> 00:52:03.360
it, but like, just being at my computer doing
00:52:03.360 --> 00:52:06.940
work or whatever I'm doing. You're in just you're
00:52:06.940 --> 00:52:11.179
in the vicinity. You're in my presence. I am
00:52:11.179 --> 00:52:14.019
at peace. It's the most at peace that I am at
00:52:14.019 --> 00:52:17.840
any given time in my day and week. So that is
00:52:17.840 --> 00:52:21.119
what I thrive for. Right. And that's where I'm
00:52:21.119 --> 00:52:23.480
that's what I crave. And so when you disrupt
00:52:23.480 --> 00:52:25.139
that because I got to go do this or I'm going
00:52:25.139 --> 00:52:29.570
to go do that. I try really hard to not get flustered,
00:52:29.610 --> 00:52:32.989
but I do. And then it lasts a hell of a lot longer.
00:52:33.389 --> 00:52:35.889
You'd have been doing better. I'm trying to.
00:52:36.909 --> 00:52:42.329
Are you back? Are you coming back? I hate that
00:52:42.329 --> 00:52:45.130
I'll be right back. I'm coming right back. I
00:52:45.130 --> 00:52:47.269
should never say that. That's like 15 minutes
00:52:47.269 --> 00:52:49.530
and then an hour and 15 minutes later I'm like...
00:52:51.900 --> 00:52:54.139
I want to rage text and I'm just like, just put
00:52:54.139 --> 00:52:59.860
the phone down. I do. I want to, but I don't.
00:52:59.920 --> 00:53:01.800
I've been working very hard at that. I try not
00:53:01.800 --> 00:53:06.219
to do that. Okay. Before we start to nose this
00:53:06.219 --> 00:53:08.800
plane down, I want to take a second on video
00:53:08.800 --> 00:53:12.380
here to show you guys around the room. Okay.
00:53:12.739 --> 00:53:16.599
We built a new podcast. She may not be back for
00:53:16.599 --> 00:53:18.280
a couple of weeks. I don't know how comfortable
00:53:18.280 --> 00:53:21.179
she's going to be. Not sure what it's gonna look
00:53:21.179 --> 00:53:23.059
like if you're gonna be able to take your brace
00:53:23.059 --> 00:53:25.679
off at least long enough to do a show Or anything
00:53:25.679 --> 00:53:29.699
like that. I know you have I know you have to
00:53:29.699 --> 00:53:31.699
wear the brace for two weeks solid, but I'm not
00:53:31.699 --> 00:53:35.000
sure I don't know if after that it's okay for
00:53:35.000 --> 00:53:36.860
you to be off of it So I'm gonna have to get
00:53:36.860 --> 00:53:49.739
some more information. He's gonna be the Yes
00:53:49.739 --> 00:53:54.139
And whatever he says go So go with the camera
00:53:54.139 --> 00:53:57.039
you doing yours or mine. I'll do mine. All right,
00:53:57.039 --> 00:54:01.280
so here we go guys He did he worked really hard
00:54:01.280 --> 00:54:05.000
on this guys, I mean he he worked very hard on
00:54:05.000 --> 00:54:14.599
this Yeah So Place the sound panel strategically
00:54:14.599 --> 00:54:17.719
he did he did a good job I just glued them to
00:54:17.719 --> 00:54:19.440
the poster board so we can take them off when
00:54:19.440 --> 00:54:23.500
we need to So got everything and a TV and our
00:54:23.500 --> 00:54:28.820
little table over here a little We call that
00:54:28.820 --> 00:54:32.800
floating shelf a Barn door he did felt did the
00:54:32.800 --> 00:54:35.539
barn door did a good job Little frustrated him
00:54:35.539 --> 00:54:38.659
a little bit, but he got it on there. He was
00:54:38.659 --> 00:54:43.980
yeah He was not okay with that. So he did work
00:54:43.980 --> 00:54:45.840
very hard. He worked really hard guys. Y 'all
00:54:45.840 --> 00:54:48.760
have no idea how much he worked really hard for
00:54:48.760 --> 00:54:52.000
that. Yeah. I spent, I spent, uh, besides the
00:54:52.000 --> 00:54:54.599
weekend that we took to empty the shell, to empty
00:54:54.599 --> 00:54:57.780
the room and things like that. That was the hardest
00:54:57.780 --> 00:55:01.780
part. I spent 14 hours by myself pretty much
00:55:01.780 --> 00:55:03.460
a dad pitched in a couple of times. He helped
00:55:03.460 --> 00:55:06.360
me tear down the old studio and He helped me
00:55:06.360 --> 00:55:08.300
when I needed that extra hand, hold up something
00:55:08.300 --> 00:55:12.500
or whatever, but I spent 14 hours building this
00:55:12.500 --> 00:55:14.400
room, putting things together, that floating
00:55:14.400 --> 00:55:16.619
shelf behind here. Obviously you can't see it
00:55:16.619 --> 00:55:19.500
on camera, but there's also room for potential
00:55:19.500 --> 00:55:21.960
changes, right? Like right now we do everything
00:55:21.960 --> 00:55:24.599
on phones and things like that. We'd like to
00:55:24.599 --> 00:55:26.019
expand it to better. We've had a little bit of
00:55:26.019 --> 00:55:29.539
battles on this room, but hey, battles were good.
00:55:29.659 --> 00:55:33.860
We got over them and we worked through them.
00:55:34.300 --> 00:55:38.480
They were the silly ones, but it was, it's, it's
00:55:38.480 --> 00:55:41.280
been, it's been a good thing. I mean, cause we,
00:55:41.539 --> 00:55:43.900
uh, mind y 'all the first podcast room that we
00:55:43.900 --> 00:55:48.039
had, I am going to lie to you. We had curtains.
00:55:48.280 --> 00:55:50.099
So you had to go in and out of these curtains.
00:55:50.460 --> 00:55:54.619
So here, so it was suspended from the ceiling.
00:55:54.980 --> 00:55:59.019
Yeah. So it was clutter, clutter, clutter in
00:55:59.019 --> 00:56:00.960
there. And then when we moved into the studio
00:56:00.960 --> 00:56:03.900
at Jason's house, It was like a whole new world
00:56:03.900 --> 00:56:06.219
man. It was like we were it was it felt most
00:56:06.219 --> 00:56:10.840
the most legit we had felt and then you know
00:56:10.840 --> 00:56:13.000
circumstances changed and nothing negative toward
00:56:13.000 --> 00:56:17.320
anybody just didn't work out and so We had to
00:56:17.320 --> 00:56:18.800
come up with something different and this is
00:56:18.800 --> 00:56:21.019
what we have I've been a little bit out of sorts
00:56:21.019 --> 00:56:23.099
because I've been so used to things being where
00:56:23.099 --> 00:56:25.440
they were for a year and a half while I was at
00:56:25.440 --> 00:56:27.980
the other studio I'm so used to you know the
00:56:27.980 --> 00:56:30.579
soundboard was at a certain level and Everything
00:56:30.579 --> 00:56:33.900
was a little little little stuff over there over
00:56:33.900 --> 00:56:38.000
here This is I don't turn it on but there's a
00:56:38.000 --> 00:56:40.820
little sign over here and all our equipment that
00:56:40.820 --> 00:56:43.800
plugs in and charges and the floating shelf has
00:56:43.800 --> 00:56:46.539
Our Bible open to a certain page. This one has
00:56:46.539 --> 00:56:48.099
the one about controlling the tongue. I think
00:56:48.099 --> 00:56:52.139
that's a perfect page And Terry had to add the
00:56:52.139 --> 00:56:58.389
female touch and put some little figurines The
00:56:58.389 --> 00:57:00.809
corner over on this side that had the floating
00:57:00.809 --> 00:57:03.769
shelf with the shirts on it, I plan to use that
00:57:03.769 --> 00:57:06.389
as a kind of a separate area of recording where
00:57:06.389 --> 00:57:09.789
I can do some commercial or promo type stuff
00:57:09.789 --> 00:57:12.670
for new shirts that we do and things like that.
00:57:13.489 --> 00:57:15.429
If we have a guest, we still have space at the
00:57:15.429 --> 00:57:17.110
end of the table for that. We haven't figured
00:57:17.110 --> 00:57:19.809
out the cameras for that yet, but we will. So
00:57:19.809 --> 00:57:21.929
there's still opportunity for growth here and
00:57:21.929 --> 00:57:29.639
that's what the goal was. You have a joke It
00:57:29.639 --> 00:57:36.599
wasn't terrible it's always bad about delivery
00:57:36.599 --> 00:57:49.039
Okay, where does snowman keep his money Snowbank
00:57:55.079 --> 00:57:58.199
You're not supposed to know my jokes. Mind you,
00:57:58.340 --> 00:58:00.440
I get these on Facebook so he probably sees them
00:58:00.440 --> 00:58:07.260
before I do. I've never seen that. Okay, answer
00:58:07.260 --> 00:58:17.760
first. Okay. Let it fall. Let it fall. How do
00:58:17.760 --> 00:58:26.699
you make a lemon drop? You let it fall you let
00:58:26.699 --> 00:58:32.199
it fall. That's perfect. Yeah That one's funny
00:58:32.199 --> 00:58:35.880
Doesn't mean anything to what we're doing right
00:58:35.880 --> 00:58:42.280
now Just because we brought up if God were to
00:58:42.280 --> 00:58:45.559
sit before us and give us the plan that he had
00:58:45.559 --> 00:58:50.219
like exactly actually explained the plan Epictetus
00:58:51.900 --> 00:58:54.900
There is no peace for the man who has seen what
00:58:54.900 --> 00:59:00.460
he could become Because if you actually knew
00:59:00.460 --> 00:59:03.340
How much effort would you give exactly right?
00:59:03.440 --> 00:59:05.099
How much harder would you work if you actually
00:59:05.099 --> 00:59:06.800
knew because you already know it's gonna be there
00:59:06.800 --> 00:59:08.559
You're you know what's coming right? You already
00:59:08.559 --> 00:59:10.719
know there's success in this why wouldn't I chase
00:59:10.719 --> 00:59:12.980
it harder harder harder harder? No, you know,
00:59:13.119 --> 00:59:18.320
that's what it's gonna be No rest for that so
00:59:18.320 --> 00:59:22.809
anyway, man As always, we thank you guys for
00:59:22.809 --> 00:59:25.969
being here. We are not going anywhere. We're
00:59:25.969 --> 00:59:29.170
gonna continue to do this as long as the world
00:59:29.170 --> 00:59:32.050
will allow it. We'd love to have you on or with
00:59:32.050 --> 00:59:34.949
us in whatever way, whatever capacity. If you
00:59:34.949 --> 00:59:38.510
have a contrary view or vision, that's okay.
00:59:38.710 --> 00:59:42.469
We don't rebuke that. It's cool to have a discussion
00:59:42.469 --> 00:59:44.570
as long as you're willing to have a discussion,
00:59:45.030 --> 00:59:48.449
not just make a hateful comment. What the hell
00:59:48.449 --> 00:59:54.570
was that that hurt my ear I know it's Yeah, that
00:59:54.570 --> 01:00:02.289
hurt Thank you, sorry But we would love to generate
01:00:02.289 --> 01:00:04.530
and create community a place where people are
01:00:04.530 --> 01:00:08.230
willing and unafraid to come and have Conversation
01:00:08.230 --> 01:00:10.690
if they have question or if they have you know
01:00:10.690 --> 01:00:12.230
what? I think you're not seeing that properly
01:00:12.230 --> 01:00:16.400
look at it this way Love to hear that. But most
01:00:16.400 --> 01:00:18.480
important, we'd love to love on you. We'd love
01:00:18.480 --> 01:00:20.360
to pray with you, to come into agreement with
01:00:20.360 --> 01:00:25.980
you on things in your life. Man, we know that
01:00:25.980 --> 01:00:28.840
this thing works. Prayer works. The tongue has
01:00:28.840 --> 01:00:31.460
the power of life and death. God's not dead.
01:00:31.619 --> 01:00:34.840
He's listening. He's just waiting for us. So
01:00:34.840 --> 01:00:39.719
Father, thank you. We love you. I'm John. I'm
01:00:39.719 --> 01:00:40.099
Terri.
